Gers Safaris Newsletter 2018

Dear Hunting Friends

And so another year is almost gone…

Gers Safaris had a wonderful hunting season with hunters that share our passion for the outdoors, harvested some great trophies and will remain friends into the future.

With Madelene and myself being involved as land and lodge owners, we always strive to ensure high quality trophies, accommodation and staff who is committed to give hunters/guests the best. In this we are supported by our amazing PH’es (Theunis, Frans, Charles and Mark) who bring experience, knowledge and passion to each hunt and of whom we are very proud.

In 2018 we welcomed many returning hunters, which we believe to be a confirmation of the above – thanks to all who again chose Gers Safaris.

2018 was a busy year for the Gers Safaris team…

We sadly had to say good bye to our very passionate hunting dog, Smittie who many hunters came to know and love. He gave his all on every hunt and acted as THE celebrity in the trophy photos.

The new kid on the block – Nitro – indeed has very big shoes to fill.

Our right hand couple, Theunis and Michelle, got married in September during a beautiful ceremony close to Kimberley. We wish them the BEST for their future!

In spite of all the negativity around land ownership in SA, we are proud to announce that we are busy purchasing some prime land that will enlarge our hunting area to 40 000 acres. We still have our concession areas that is in excess of 150 000 acres.

Thanks to all our hunters during 2018 – Hope to see you back here in the near future.

Have a wonderful festive season.
