The 37 000 owned acres (15 000 HA) Papkuil Reserve, has been in the Gers family for 4 generations. Current owners, Julius and Madelene Gers, are proud to follow in the footsteps of previous generations at Papkuil since 1876.
Part of the heritage that has been handed down, is environmental awareness and respect and reverence for nature. These principles have always guided the day to day activities.
Julius and Madelene are strong supporters of eco-tourism and believe that it is the only way to ensure sustainable development in the area. They are also involved in the upliftment of the local community.
